What is witchcraft? Does magick really exist?

Witchcraft is the collection of traditions, rituals, rites, ceremonies, and spells (crafts) of a Witch. It is the alignment practices of self-care, worship and intention of a witch. Witchcraft, comes in many forms. Some bring ancestral influences into their magicks— while others simply cultivate their own. The term itself is vast and wide in its definition as it changes its meaning between social and cultural influence.

The Witch decides her[his] Witchcraft with varying themes seen across the spectrum such as; “The Wiccan Rede”, ObservanceSabbats, Witches Wheel of the Year, “As above — So below. As within — So without. As the universe — So the soul.”, the importance of salt, and casting a circle through use of the elements: EARTH (North), AIR(East), FIRE(South), WATER(West), SPIRIT(center).

The uses of divination will be different for each witch [pendulum, tarot, oracle cards, palmistry, decoding dreams, throwing bones, or runes…] but are all under the umbrella of witchcraft. Deities will differ across the whole as well, so will rules, and/or rituals. 

Pagan is different from Wicca but both utilize the practices & magick of Witchcraft.

Witchcraft is not a religion — it is a practice. 

Witchcraft is the magickal manipulation and alignment of oneself with a universal pulse, vibration, or energy through intention.
